The Picture Hat... made famous by Gainsborough in his portrait of the lovely Duchess of Devonshire, who wore her large brimmed hat at a decided angle so that her face, hair and hat could all be seen to their best advantage.

How very charmed I was to have been asked by portrait artist Loren Naji to sit for a portrait wearing one of my millinery creations.  Of course, we cannot show the portrait until the artist declares it to be completed, but can tantalize you with this photograph of the artist at work.

One might think that the actual sitting for the portrait would be wearisome to the sitter, but I have not found this to be the case, as portrait artist Loren Naji willingly shares his knowledge of art history and the many and varied techniques which have been favored by artists, both past and present.

If you would like to have your portrait painted, you may contact Loren Naji at 216-621-6644 for details and pricing, and if you would like to be wearing the most marvelous of millinery created especially for you for your portrait, please view this website or contact us at style@cynthiascenturies.com or 216-704-0101.
